COUNTY ATTORNEY EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT# 2
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors("Board")adopted the following Resolution
at its Business Meeting on February 21, 2023:
WHEREAS, the Board desires to continue the employment of J. Vaden Hunt, Esq.
("Hunt"), as County Attorney for Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and the Board; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board to provide certain benefits, establish certain
conditions of employment, and to set working conditions for Hunt; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to amend its Employment Agreement with Hunt executed
on April 21, 2020, and revised via Resolution # 2021-12-09, County Attorney's Employment
Agreement Amendment # 1, on December 21, 2021.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board approves the following
amendments to Hunt's Employment Agreement:
1. Section 2(A): when Hunt resumes exclusively County Attorney duties, increase
Hunt's salary by ten percent(10%); said salary increase shall be based on Hunt's total base salary,
including vehicle allowance, of his salary immediately prior to assuming the Interim County
Administrator role; and
2. Section 6(A): increase severance provisions to twelve(12)months; and
3. Section 18: increase vehicle allowance by one-hundred dollars ($100.00) per
month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board has caused this Resolution to be signed
and executed by the Board's Chairman and the Chairman of the Board's Personnel Committee,
and Hunt has signed and executed the same, in duplicate, the day and year written below.
