The Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday,
March 12, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., in the General District Courtroom of the Edwin R. Shields
Courtroom Addition, Chatham, Virginia, 24531, to receive citizen input on proposed amendments
to the Pittsylvania County Code (“PCC”) § 6-6(5) – (8), allowing proration of the elderly and
indigent partial real estate tax exemption for certain changes in circumstances as authorized by
Virginia Code § 58.1-3215. A full text of the proposed PCC amendments is available in the Office
of the County Administrator, County Administration Building, 1 Center Street, Chatham, Virginia,
24531, on Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on the County’s website,
www.pittsylvaniacountyva.gov.
