internal Board and County Staff communication, discussion, and work. It is not a
question and answer session with the audience. Accordingly, during the Work Session,
no questions or comments from the audience will be entertained. Respectfully, any
outbursts or disorderly conduct from the audience will not be tolerated and may result in
the offending person’s removal from the Work Session. As a reminder, all County
citizens, and other appropriate parties as designated by the Board’s Bylaws, are permitted
to make comments under the Hearing of the Citizens’ Section of tonight’s Business
Meeting.

WHO DOES IT SUPPORT?
•We provide support and service to every county department and constitutional
office.
•We have 9 remote locations we provide network access and support to. Including the
Pet Center, Parks & Rec, Solid Waste, and the Registrar.
•We currently have remote cameras and network connections at 14 of our
convenience centers. These connections span from the South West at Old Mayfield,
north up to Smith Mountain and Motley, over to Brosville and Callands to name a
few.

WHAT TECHNOLOGY DOES IT SUPPORT?
•IT provides and supports all network equipment such as switches, firewalls and servers, network access,
including internet access, and remote access via VPN.
•IT supports and provides phone access to all County Departments, and Constitutional Offices.
•IT provides email to all County Departments and Constitutional Offices.
•IT provides a wireless network throughout the County campus and at our remote locations for citizens
and guest visiting county buildings.
•IT supports County issued cell phones and iPads.
•IT supports end user workstations and provides software support.
