The volume of vehicles entering and exiting the school in the morning and afternoon is
much larger than the current traffic pattern can handle.

Kentuck Elementary School -$6,160,886 Built: 1963
Six mobile units provide needed additional classroom space and two classrooms open to an
outside sidewalk.The traffic flow for the morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up times
has grown and now creates a substantial bottleneck of vehicles on Kentuck Road.•Construct 12 additional classrooms•Construct restroom•Renovate entrance and parent drop-off/pick-up•Construct safety vestibule
Brosville Elementary School -$300,000 Built: 1938 and Renovated in 2004
Two classrooms were roughed-in in the basement during the renovation and the building
still utilizes an obsolete fire alarm system.•Construct 2 classrooms and renovations•Replace obsolete fire alarm system•Construct safety vestibule
Stony Mill Elementary School -$5,151,476 Built: 1964

The Pittsylvania Career and Technical Center was built in
1978 and houses 20 Career and Technical programs for
high school juniors and seniors.
Expansion is necessary in several programs and HVAC
upgrades are needed.
