Report of Changes in the Secondary System of State Highways
The addition of Gretna Middle School Circle, State Route Number 9329
The Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County, in regular meeting on the 18 day of
December, 2007adopted the following:
RESOLUTION
2007-12-83(c)
WHEREAS, the road described below provides access for school bus traffic from State
Route 1303 to Gretna Middle School, a public school,
WHEREAS, construction of the road is complete and meets standards, deemed by the
Department of Transportation, appropriate for the traffic anticipated,
WHEREAS, construction was financed by sources other than those administered by the
Virginia Department of Transportation,
WHEREAS, the School Board of Pittsylvania County and this Board hereby guarantee a
right of way of 30 feet and additional drainage and slope easements as necessary for
maintenance of the road,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the School Board of Pittsylvania County and
this Board, pursuant to Section 33.1-68, Code of Virginia, request Gretna Middle School Circle,
Route 9329, a distance of 0.605 miles, be added to the Secondary System of State Highways,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Resident Administrator of the Virginia Department of Transportation.
