RESOLUTION
2007-06-50
WHEREAS, Loutricia Jacobs has served as the executive director of the local
chapter of the March of Dimes serving Pittsylvania County since 1987, and
WHEREAS, Loutricia Jacobs has given freely of her time, knowledge and
experience to fulfill the duties necessary to meet the mission of the March of Dimes, and
WHEREAS, Loutricia Jacobs, `working with other volunteers in Pittsylvania
County and Danville, has worked diligently to prevent birth defects in infants, reduce
infant mortality and help prevent premature babies providing a much needed program of
public assistance. in Pittsylvania County and Danville, and
WHEREAS, Loutricia Jacobs.. has served as executive director of the March of
Dimes Walk America Program in Danville and Pittsylvania County for the past 20 years,
'and
WHEREAS, Loutricia Jacobs has announced her retirement after serving the
people of Pittsylvania County and Danville, then
BELT HEREBYRESOLVED, `that the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors
expresses their sincere appreciation for the services provided by Loutricia Jacobs for the
past 20 years as executive 'director of the local chapter of the March of Dimes and the
Walk America Campaign and wishing her an enjoyable retirement on behalf of the
citizens of Pittsylvania County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors directs that a
copy of this resolution be presented to Loutricia Jacobs on behalf of the Board of
Supervisors and the citizens of Pittsylvania County.
