RESOLUTION
2007-06-49
WHEREAS, Peggy P. Eanes started with Pittsylvania County in September of
1972 providing 35 years of service to the citizens of Pittsylvania County, and
WHEREAS, Peggy P. Eanes became the Registrar of Pittsylvania County on April
1, 1991 giving freely of her time, knowledge and experience to fulfill the duties of her
position, and
WHEREAS, she has shown an abiding interest and concern for the betterment
and continued progress of Pittsylvania County and its election process, and
WHEREAS, she has strived diligently to serve in this position providing guidance
and leadership to the Pittsylvania County Electoral Board and the Pittsylvania County
Board of Supervisors
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pittsylvania County Board of
Supervisors expresses its sincere appreciation for the service of Peggy P. Eanes to the
citizens of Pittsylvania County as a Deputy Registrar and as the Registrar of Pittsylvania
County upon her retirement on June 30, 2007, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors directs that a
copy of this resolution be presented to Peggy P. Eanes on behalf of the Board of
Supervisors and the citizens of Pittsylvania County.
