RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Pittsylvania County has entered into. a joint agreement with Bedford
County and Franklin County to operate the Tri-Lake Administrative Committee, and
WHEREAS, the ,Tri-Lake Administrative Committee' (TLAC) carries out
activities assigned_by the governing bodies that developed this authority; and
WHEREAS, there is a 'need -for TLAC to represent Pittsylvana County before
the United,States Coast Guard-for the negotiations-and authority concerning navigational
aids on the lake, then
BE IT' HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Pittsylvania County: Board of Supervisors
that the Tri-Lake Administrative Committee (TLAC) shall represent: Pttsylvania County
before the United States Coast Guard :concerning navigable water requirements and
regulations under the Federal guidelines and the .authority to establish the necessary
navigational aids. The duties and assignments herein of powers delegated. by the. Board
of Supervisors to TLAC shalLnot exceed the limits of delegation as prescribed' under the
Code of Virginia and pursuant to the joint agreement between Bedford, Pittsylvania, and
Franklin counties.
