RESOLUTION
2009-12-01
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gary L. Fitz has served as a Member of the Pittsylvania County Board
of Zoning Appeals since the adoption of the zoning in Pittsylvania County in 1991; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gary L. Fitz has been re-appointed by the Circuit Court for each
succeeding term since 1991 ending in January 2010; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gary L. Fitz has served Pittsylvania County on the Zoning Board
of Appeals for 18 years providing faithful service, wise counsel and expertise in the review
and approval of special use permits in accordance with the Zoning Ordinances of Pittsylvania
County; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gary L. Fitz will be retiring from the Zoning Board of Appeals in
January 2010; then
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors
express their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Gary L. Fitz for her outstanding leadership,
counseling and expertise on the behalf of the citizens of Pittsylvania County for her service on
the Zoning Board of Appeals; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to
Mattie Fitts, on the behalf of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors.
