RESOLUTION
2009-01-02
WHEREAS, Gerald F. Todt, Sr. has served the citizens of the Commonwealth of
Virginia in local government for over 35 years; and
WHEREAS, Gerald F. Todt, Sr. served as the County Administrator in George County,
Director of Finance for the City of Lynchburg and Social Service Worker in Cumberland
County prior to coming to Pittsylvania County; and
WHEREAS, in 1991, the Pittsylvania Social Service Board hired Gerald F. Todt, Sr. as
the Director of Social Services for Pittsylvania County, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, through his dedicated leadership, faithful and dutiful service, he has
contributed substantially to the advancement of the citizens of Pittsylvania County and to the
employees of the Pittsylvania County Social Service Department; and
WHEREAS, Gerald F. Todt, Sr. will be retiring in January 2009; then
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County
express their sincere appreciation to Gerald F. Todt, Sr. for his services to the employees of
Pittsylvania County and to the citizens of Pittsylvania County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution ftom the Board of
Supervisors be forwarded to Gerald F. Todt, Sr. for his faithful service.
