RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR CHARLES H. MLLER,JR.
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors("Board")adopted the following Resolution at its Business
Meeting on December 21, 2021:
WHEREAS, Charles H. Miller, Jr. ("Miller) was elected to the Board as the Banister District
Representative in 2017, and held said office from January 1, 2018,through December 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Miller has tirelessly given his time and effort to improve Pittsylvania County, Virginia
("County"), by serving on the following Board subcommittees: Finance, Personnel, Legislative, Property and
Building, BOS/School Joint Liaison Committee, Animal Welfare Facility, and the
Computer/Radio/Telecommunications Committee; and
WHEREAS, as an appointed representative of the Board, Miller also served on the following other
entities: Staunton River Regional Industrial Facilities Authority, Metropolitan Planning Organization,
Pittsylvania County Community Action Agency, Roanoke River Basin Association, Danville-Pittsylvania
Community Services Board, Pittsylvania County Planning Commission, and the Pittsylvania County Social
Services Board; and
WHEREAS, Miller has, by his dedication and leadership, faithfully and dutifully served the Board and
County citizens;now
THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, on behalf of the Board and all County citizens,that we
express our sincerest appreciation to Miller for his outstanding service and exemplary leadership that has made
him a significant figure in the County's history, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Miller.
