RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR JOE B. DAVIS
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors("Board")adopted the following Resolution at its Business
Meeting on December 21, 2021:
WHEREAS,Joe B. Davis ("Davis")was elected to the Board as the Dan River District Representative in
2015, and held said office from January 1,2016,through December 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Davis has tirelessly given his time and effort to improve Pittsylvania County, Virginia
("County"), by serving on the following Board subcommittees: Finance, Solid Waste, Personnel, Legislative,
Economic Development, Property and Building, BOS/School Joint Liaison Committee, Fire and Rescue Policies
and Procedures, and the Computer/Radio/Telecommunications Committee; and
WHEREAS, as an appointed representative of the Board, Davis also served on the following other
entities: Dan River Business Development Center, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Pittsylvania County
Planning Commission, Pittsylvania County Youth Commission, West Piedmont Planning District Commission,
and the Virginia Association of Counties Committee; and
WHEREAS, Davis has, by his dedication and leadership, faithfully and dutifully served the Board and
the County citizens; now
THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED,on behalf of the Board and all the citizens of the County,
that we express our sincerest appreciation Davis for his outstanding service and exemplary leadership that has
made him a significant figure in the County's history, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Davis.
