2021-11-02 Hardy Petroleum's 100 Year Anniversary RESOLUTION # 2021-11-02
HARDY PETROLEUM'S 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
The following Resolution was adopted at the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors'
("Board") Business Meeting on November 16, 2021:
WHEREAS, Hardy Petroleum is located at 1912 Westover drive in Danville, Virginia;
and
WHEREAS, in 1921, Henry Hardy started W. Henry Hardy Company on the principles
of honesty, hard work, and dedication to customers and employees; and
WHEREAS, the office operated out of a small white building on Westover Drive, and in
1970, the office was expanded to accommodate needed storage; and
WHEREAS, over the years, Hardy Petroleum has progressed from only delivering fuel
oil, to a variety of services which include delivery of fuel oil and propane gas to residential,
commercial, and business customers, as well as surrounding farmers; and
WHEREAS,they also specialize in selling and installation of gas logs, selling of gas grills,
installation of gas outdoor lighting, and delivery of gasoline to multiple Pure convenience stores.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board applauds Hardy Petroleum for
their hard work and dedication that brought them to their 100th Year Anniversary and we wish
them many more years of unparalleled success.
