RESOLUTION DECLARING A LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the County Director of Emergency Management does/did hereby find:
1. That due to a severe winter weather event that occurred on February 13, 2021, and because
of another forecasted severe weather event anticipated for February 18, 2021, the County is facing and will
face dangerous conditions; and
2. That due to the above severe winter events conditions of extreme peril to life and property
necessitates/necessitated the proclamation of the existence of a Local Emergency.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED/RESOLVED that the Board formally
proclaims a Local Emergency does now/or did exists throughout the County; and
BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED/RESOLVED that during the existence of said Local
Emergency, the powers, functions, and duties of the County Emergency Management Organization shall
be/were those prescribed by State Law and the Ordinances, Resolutions, and approved plans of the County
to mitigate the effects of said Emergency; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that,because of the amount of storm debris created from inter alia
downed trees and limbs, the Board shall allow County citizens to deposit storm debris in the County's
Landfill for a period of ninety (90) days from February 16, 2021, and waive all associated tipping fees.
