01-29-2015 PUBLIC NOTICE- Animal Shelters Tour - Lynchburg and Amherst
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors has been
invited to tour the Lynchburg Animal Shelter located on
Old Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg, Virginia, and tour
the Amherst County Animal Shelter located at 318
Shelton Lane in Amherst, Virginia on Thursday, January
29, 2015. Along with the Board of Supervisors, staff
members from the Pittsylvania County Administration
and local news media sources will be in attendance. The
tentative schedule for the tour is to depart from the
Captain Martin Building located at 1 Center Street in
Chatham, Virginia around 8:30am and return to the same
location at approximately 4:30pm that same day. The
purpose of the Board of Supervisors’ attendance is to
gather information that could be used in proposed plans
for a local animal shelter in Pittsylvania County. No
action will be taken by the Board during this tour.
