Stowe opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. Mx. Shelton, Dixector of Code Compliance, Tepoxted that JEL, Inc., had petidoned to rezone 334.874 acres (paxt of 352.151 acTes), located on State Road 686/Elkhorn Road, in the Banister Election Disttict from B-2, Business Disttict, Genexal to A-1, Agricultuxal Distsict to expand the existing campgcound located on the property. Thomas Brooks with Acxes of V�girua, Inc., was pxesent to xepxesent the peririon. He stated the petitionex was requesting to xezone to A-1 to expand the camping axea, and should the xezoning be granted, the applicant would then apply fox a Special Use Permit 'Iliere was no opposition to the pedtion. Welborn, to recommend the Boaxd of Superoisoxs cezone the property fxom B-2, Business Disrsict, General to A-1, Agricultural District. 1�lodon passed unanunously. This concludes the Rezoning case. Stowe opened the public hearing at 7:05 p.m. Mr. Shelton, Directoc of Code Compliance, reported that Dwayne and Angela Johnson had pedtioned fox a Special Use Perrrut on 6.87 acres, located on State Road 713/B�ch Cxeek Road, in the Dan Rivex Elecuon District fox a xecxeational facility/public facility - namely a haunted teail. Zachary Tuxnex was present to cepresent the petidon. He stated he had nothing to add except this facility would pxovide fatnily fun fox eight (8) or nine (9) nights pex yeax. Ftanklin Properties of SC, LLC, S-13-002 — Mr. Stowe opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. Mr. Shelton, Duector of Code Compliance, xeported that Fxanklin Propexties of SC, LLC, had pearioned for a Special L'se Permit on 7.19 acxes, located on L.S. Highway 41/Pranklin Tumpike, in the Chatham-Blaics Elecrion District fox a school classroom for auristic children. Bill Bolton was pxesent to xepxesent the petition. He stated he had nothing to add. There was no opposirion to the peution. Mr. Stowe closed the public hearing at 7:08 p.m. Duxing the discussion, it was stated this site could accommodate up to six (6) children at a tune. A morion was made by Mx. blodey, seconded by NSx. Weatherford, to recommend the Boaxd of "l..oning Appeals grant this Special Use Pernut. Morion passed unanimously This concludes the Special L`se Permit cases. OLD BUSINESS 2012 Aunual Report — The membexs xeviewed the 2012 .�nnual Report and the Chairman thanked b1x.
