I. Call to Order – Mr. Joe Williams
II. Roll Call – Mr. Fred Wydner
III. Items for Discussion
1. Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) – The Legislative
Committee has drafted wording to initiate a PDR Working
Committee, composed of the County Attorney, Assistant
County Administrator Greg Sides, the ADB Director and a
farmer representative from all seven districts.
2. Setbacks – Initiating the first contacts in other counties as to
their procedures.
3. Danville Regional Foundation Grant Application – Agricultural
Impact Study update.
4. Rain Gauge discussion – Update, will utilize 6 rain gauges
instead of 12. Farmers will be required to pay for half the cost
of the gauges. These individuals are still to be identified. Once
accomplished, the gauges will be ordered.
5. Nominating Committee – Board to approve the potential slate
of Directors. This will be forwarded to the BOS for their final
approval.
6. DRPPC – Working with the DRPPC to establish a new facility
in the county for their tissue culture work.
7. Sanderson Farms – In contact with the President and Director of
Development to entice them to locate facilities here in the
county. They have been denied in Nash County and Wilson,
NC.
