TO THE HONORABLE SUPERVISORS OF PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY:
WHEREAS, your Petitioners, William H. Rogers, Jr., and Judith R. Rogers, have filed
with the Secretary to the Planning Commission a petition to rezone the the above -referenced
parcel of land from R-1, Residential Suburban Subdivision District to B-2, Business District,
General for future commercial development.
WHEREAS, the petition was referred to the Planning Commission which, after due legal
notice as required by Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, did hold a public
hearing on November 5, 2015; and
WHEREAS, at that public hearing all parties in interest were afforded an opportunity to be
heard; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after due consideration has recommended to the
Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors that the rezoning be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends to
the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors that the above -referenced parcel of land be rezoned
to B-2, Business District, General from R-1, Residential Suburban Subdivision District.
