VIRGINIA: The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors' ("Board") Special Meeting
was held on October 30, 2024, in the Gallery Room of the Chatham Community Center, 115 S Main
Street, Chatham, Virginia 24531.
CALL TO ORDER (8:30 AM)
Dalton called the Meeting to Order at 8:40 AM.

The Board returned to Open Session at 10:14 AM and the following Certification was recorded:

CLOSED MEETING CERTIFICATION
BE IT RESOLVED that at the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors’ (“Board”)
Special Meeting on October 30, 2024, the Board hereby certifies by a recorded vote that to the best
of each Board Member’s knowledge only public business matters lawfully exempted from the Open
Meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (“Act”) and identified in the
Motion authorizing the Closed Meeting were heard, discussed, or considered in the Closed Meeting.
If any Board Member believes that there was a departure from the requirements of the Act, he shall
so state prior to the vote indicating the substance of the departure. The Statement shall be recorded
in the Board's Minutes.

The Board engaged with department heads to review their current and future budget needs during
a strategic planning session. This collaborative discussion provided valuable insights to help the
Board assess priorities and plan effectively for the upcoming year's budget.
