COUNTY ATTORNEY'S EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT#3
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors ("Board") adopted the following Resolution at its
Business Meeting on December 19,2023:
WHEREAS, the Board desires to continue the employment of J. Vaden Hunt, Esq. ("Hunt"), as
County Attorney for Pittsylvania County,Virginia("County"); and
WHEREAS,it is the desire of the Board to provide certain benefits,establish certain conditions of
employment,and to set working conditions for Hunt; and
WHEREAS,the Board desires to amend its Employment Agreement with Hunt executed on April
21, 2020 ("Initial Employment Agreement"), revised via Resolution #2023-02-02 (County Attorney's
Employment Agreement Amendment#2) on December February 21, 2023, and revised via Resolution#
2021-12-09(County Attorney's Employment Agreement Amendment# 1)on December 21,2021.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the Board approves the following amendments
to Hunt's Initial Employment Agreement:
1. Section 2(A): In addition to the two percent (2%) merit increase authorized by Section
2(F),as amended, increase base salary by two percent(2%); said salary increase shall be based on Hunt's
total base salary, including vehicle allowance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board and Hunt agree that all other provisions of Hunt's
Initial Employment Agreement, County Attorney's Employment Agreement Amendment# 1, and County
Attorney's Employment Agreement Amendment#2 remain in full force and legal effect; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Board has caused this Resolution/Amendment to be
signed and executed by the Board's Chairman and the Chairman of the Board's Personnel Committee,and
Hunt has signed and executed the same,in duplicate,the day and year written below.
