Public hearings will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the General District Courtroom, second floor, Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition, Chatham, Virginia. After
the public hearings, the Planning Commission will make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. The schedule contains (2) Rezoning Applications, (2) Special Use Applications and
(1) Sign Permit Application. The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing and rule on (2) Rezoning Applications on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the General District
Courtroom, second floor, Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition, Chatham, Virginia. The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing and rule on (2) Special Use Permit Applications
and (1) Sign Permit Application on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the General District Courtroom, second floor, Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition, Chatham, Virginia.
Case 1 Brad Michael Compton, R-10-004 – The property is 3.98 acres, located off Hollyberry Drive, in the Callands-Gretna Election District and shown on the Pittsylvania County Tax Maps
as GPIN # 2520-99-9860/45-A-50. The applicant is requesting to rezone from C-1, Conservation District to R-1, Residential Suburban Subdivision District to combine with adjacent properties
zoned R-1.
Case 2 Brenda Marshall White And Others, R-10-005 – The property is 33.79 acres, located off State Road 360/Old Richmond Road & Chickadee Road, in the Dan River Election District and
shown on the Pittsylvania County Tax Maps as GPIN # 2430-65-4210/139-A-94. The applicants are requesting to rezone from R-1, Residential Suburban Subdivision District to A-1, Agricultural
District for future subdivision of property for family members.

Case Z-1 Edge Hill Church Parsonage, Z-10-003 – The property is 3.54 acres, located on State Road 668/Level Run Road, in the Staunton River Election District and shown on the Pittsylvania
County Tax Maps as GPIN # 2573-99-2125/36-A-2. The applicant is requesting a Sign Permit for a second on-site church sign.

The Pittsylvania County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, to receive citizen input and make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors to
amend the Pittsylvania County Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 35-Zoning, Supplementary Definitions for the addition of the following definitions: Raceway, Private Recreational Facilities
and Public Recreational Facilities and to remove Raceway listed under Industrial District (M-2) - Heavy Industry, Sec. 35-402, Permitted Uses, and to add Raceway under Industrial District
(M-2) - Heavy Industry, Sec. 35-403, Special Use Permits. The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. in the General District Courtroom, second floor, of the Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition
in Chatham, Virginia. A copy of the proposed changes will be available for review in the Office of the County Administrator, 21 North Main Street, Chatham, Virginia, and the Office
of Code Compliance, 53 North Main Street, Chatham, Virginia, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
