The Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday,
April 17, 2018 at 7:00p.m. in the Pittsylvania County General District Courtroom of the Edwin R.
Shields Courthouse Addition, Chatham, Virginia, 24531, to receive citizen input on the potential
amendment of Section 8-7 of the Pittsylvania County Code relating to the moving of the Riceville,
Keeling, and Blairs’ voting precincts to the following proposed locations: Riceville voting
precinct from 640 Rescue Squad to Riceville Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center (1444
Riceville Road, Java, Virginia, 24565), the Keeling voting precinct from Keeling Fire Department
to Oak Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (2217 Oak Grove Road, Keeling, Virginia 24566),
and the Blair’s voting precinct from Blairs Fire Station to White Oak Worship Center (8465 US
Highway 29, Blairs, Virginia 24527). A copy of the full text of the above-referenced action is
available for public inspection in the Pittsylvania County Administrator’s office located at 1 Center
Street, Chatham, Virginia 24531, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on the
County’s website at www.pittsylvaniacountyva.gov.
