RESOLUTION
2009-10-02
VIRGINIA: At the regular meeting of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors held on Monday,
October 5, 2009, in the General District Courtroom of the Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition, the
following resolution was presented and adopted:
WHEREAS, Pittsylvania County, in corporation with Pittsylvania County Economic
Development Organization, funded and constructed a road into the Gretna Industrial Park Phase I to
serve lots 1-4 off of State Route 1327 in Gretna, Virginia ; and
WHEREAS, this road was designed under the requirements of the Virginia Department of
Transportation for industrial access roads, thereby meeting the requirements established by the Virginia
Department of Transportation secondary road requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors guarantee a sixty-foot (60-foot) right-of-way, free and
clear of all obstructions and utilities;then
BE IT RESOLVED,that the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors hereby dedicate a sixty-
foot right-of-way for the industrial access road off of State Route 1327 in Gretna, Virginia, a distance of
0.12655 miles to a dead-end, as shown on a plat drawn by Dewberry and Davis, June 11, 1992, recorded
in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court of Pittsylvania County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors authorizes the County
Administrator to sign Form AM-4.3 for the Virginia Department of Transportation, incorporating this
road into the secondary system of highways for the Virginia Department of Transportation; and
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED,that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the Resident Engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation.
