MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Danville/Pittsylvania County LEPC was held on
Thursday, December 11, 2014, 12:00 p.m. at C & E’s Restaurant, Gretna, VA. The
meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jim Davis.

Mr. Davis asked for a motion to suspend the agenda and do presentations first.
A motion was made by Chief Broadfoot, seconded by Shannon Robertson,
unanimously carried suspend order of the agenda for presentations.
Scott Veselicy with DTI discussed his company on the small chemical
manufacturer that they are and Scott Veselicy introduced Tom Calhoon at this
time.
Tom Calhoon from Homeland Security is the Supervisory Chemical Inspector for
this area. Discussed chemical facility anti-terrorism standards, site security plan
and etc.
Verna Burnette and Chris Garrett from Pittsylvania County/Danville Health
Dept gave an update on the public health on Ebola response and possible
collaborations with law enforcement and EMS people.
Mr. Davis advised he will hold all Committee Reports.
NEW BUSINESS:
Elections of Officers for FY-2015
A motion was made by Shannon Robertson, seconded by Chief Broadfoot, and
unanimously carried to elect Steve Dishman, Chairperson of the LEPC Committee
for FY2015.
A motion was made by Pete Boswell, Seconded by Shannon Robertson,
unanimously carried to elect Jim Davis, Vice-Chairperson of the LEPC Committee
for FY2015.
Mr. Davis thanked everyone for their prayers, calls, and cards that he and his
family received at the loss of his father.
