The Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 7:00 p. m. in the General District Courtroom located on the second floor of the Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition in Chatham, Virginia to receive citizen input on the proposed amendment to Chapter 6-6.3, Property Exempt by Classification or Designation, of the Pittsylvania County Code. The proposed amendment would establish a tax exempt status for real property owned by The First Baptist Church of Gretna and operating as “Blanche’s Closet”. 7. The Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 7:00 p. m. in the General District Courtroom located on the second floor of the Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addition in Chatham, Virginia to hear citizen input on potentially removing Article III of Chapter 17 from the Pittsylvania County Code (better known as the “Solid Waste Disposal Fee Ordinance”). The proposed action would formally abolish the Solid Waste Disposal Fee in the County effective December 31, 2015 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 8. Health Department Carryovers - At the Board’s 09-15-2015 meeting, a motion was made by Mr. Harville, seconded by Mr. Snead, which required a 10-Day Layover that has now been met. Requires a Roll Call Vote. 9.
