PUBLIC HEARING
6. Pursuant to Virginia Code §15.2-2507, the Board of Supervisors of Pittsylvania County
will hold a public hearing to hear citizen input on proposed amendments to the county
budget for fiscal year 2016.

(a) Animal Shelter Project Appropriations –At the Board’s 08-18-2015 meeting, a motion
was made by Mr. Harville, seconded by Mr. Snead, for the appropriation of $39,800 for
the Animal Shelter Project. This motion required a 10-Day Layover that has now been
met. Requires a Roll Call Vote.
(b) Animal Shelter Manager Salary/Benefits Appropriation - At the Board’s 08-18-2015
meeting, a motion was made by Mr. Harville, seconded by Mr. Snead, for the
appropriation of $68,127.09 for the Animal Shelter Manger position salary and fringe
benefits. This motion required a 10-Day Layover that has now been met. Requires a Roll
Call Vote.
(c) Use of Unassigned Fund Balance to pay down $4,945,000 Outstanding Debt -
Requires a Roll Call Vote.
(d) Encumbered/Discretionary Carryover Funds - Requires a Roll Call Vote.
(e) Pittsylvania County Schools Carryovers - Requires a Roll Call Vote.

7. FY 2014/15 Year-End Budget Amendments - At the Board’s 08-18-2015 meeting, a
motion was made by Mr. Blackstock, seconded by Mr. Harville, which required a 10-Day
Layover that has now been met. Requires a Roll Call Vote.
