VIRGINIA: The Pittsylvania County Boazd of Zoning Appeals met on Tuesday, Octobu 9, 2012, in the General
Disuict Courtroom, Edwin R. Shields Courthouse Addiuon, Chatham, Virginia. Mr. Talbott called the meetrng to
ozder at approacimately 7:00 p.m. Ivfr. Easley gave the invocation. Mr. Shelton called the roll.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
By modon of Mr. Estes, seconded by Mr. Easley, and by unanimous vote the Minutes of the September 11, 2012,
meeting were approved as presented.

New Business
Mr. Shelton reported on the case for the Novembez 2012 Cyde.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT

THE ZONING PRECEPTS WERE READ BY Mr. Talbott to OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING at
appro�mately 7:07 p.m.
Case S-1. Rhonda & Barry Herndon, 5-12-016 — Mr. Talbott opened the public hearing at appco�cimately 7:01 p.m.
Mr. Shelton, Duector of Code Compliance, reported Rhonda and Bazry Hemdon had petitioned for a Special Use
Pemvt on .53 of an acre, located on U. S. Highway 360/Old Richmond Road, in the Banistex Elecdon District for
non-emexgency medical transport. Mr. Shelton fucthex zeported the Planning Co�mnission, with no opposition,
recommended granting the petitioner's request. Mr. and Mts. Hemdon wexe present to represent the pedtion. Ivlr.
Herndon stated they had a limo service prior to this peti[ion and had a gazage fox storage of the vehicles. He further
stated he did not believe this would be a hindrance to the neighboxhood. Thece was no opposition to the petition.
Ivfz. Talbott dosed the pubGc hearing at approxirnately 7:04 p.m. The Board discussed the petition as the Coimnittee
of the Whole and deterinined theze were no adverse effects. During the discussion it was stated this was a very nice
place and kept very nicely. Upon motion of Mr. Merricks, seconded by Mr. Easley, the following motion was
adopted: Whereas, Rhonda and Barry Herndon have petitioned the Boazd oE Zoning Appeals for a Special Use
